2. Isoprene market applications
As an important fine chemical intermediate raw material, isopentene has a wide range of uses and is in great demand in China. Several major uses of isopentene are as follows:
3.1 Pinacolone
Conventional isopentene can be used to produce pinacolone, which in turn can be used to produce highly effective triazole fungicides and plant growth regulators, herbicides and other pesticides, as well as the production of antioxidants such as 2,4-di-tert-pentylphenol.
